We purchased Ara from Audrey and Amy Kowalik at Lost Valley, picking her up on our cross-country move from California to Missouri. We are so thankful that the Kowalik's obtained the remaining Beaujest Nigerian Dwarves and offered some for sale! At the time, we could only imagine how Ara would blossom into such a fine doe with proper care and attention - which she *loves* all the attention she can get out of you! She is very, very sweet.
Ara is linebred on Gay-Mor's RA Kingwood ++*S. Her dam, GCH/ARMCh Lost Valley KW Cassiopeia 4*M/4*D, VEEV, has shown to be a productive milker. Penny's lactation records (age fresh; days in milk; pounds milk; percent butterfat; percent protein) are: (02-06 190 470 5.1 3.6); (3-04 121 470 7.9 4.0); (5-01 109 342 4.1 3.8). In addition, Ara's grand dams' production, Blueberry Wine (5-01 116 510 8.6 3.3) and Madison (4-09 303 1140 6.5 4.2), show the depth of Ara's pedigree for milk production.
Ara was appraised as young stock in 2011, and did quite well. She freshened with buck/doe twins sired by Poppy Patch Rollick'n'Roll in Feb 2012, and we're looking forward to seeing her production and linear appraisal as a milking doe.
